Nestled amongst the hustle and bustle of the Upper Village, Ciao-Thyme Bistro has long been considered one of Whistlers few “hidden gems”. With a menu inspired by fresh, local and organic ingredients, and a cozy, intimate atmosphere, this is one little eatery you don’t want to skip!

Locally owned and operated by Chef Ryan Liebrecht and his wife Sally, Ciao- Thyme is famous amongst Whistler residents for their melt in your mouth cinnamon buns, but their full service breakfast, lunch and dinner menu provides a considerable variety of options.

The Morning menu is very reasonably priced and offers a nice range of light to heavier fare. Start your day on the slopes with a hearty breakfast platter which includes classic Canadian back bacon, free range eggs (any style), hash browns, and toast for a mere $13. Or, if you are in the mood for something on the healthier side, choose from a fresh fruit bowl for $6 or an organic yogurt cup with sun dried nuts for $7.

Lunch is the largest menu of the day with a wide selection of soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps. Snack on house cut yam fries served with roasted onion and balsamic dip $5.5, or dig into their legendary pulled pork sandwich with BBQ mayo $13.

Dinner options include local Fraser valley duck breast, served with prosciutto and wild blueberry demi glaze $23, Porcini Mushroom Crusted Elk Loin $24, and West Coast Halibut Filet $24.

Wine selection is limited in comparison to other dining establishments in Whistler, but all wines are purchasable by the glass and are very reasonably priced. Cocktails, spirits, specialty coffees and beer are also available.

Dessert offers local twists on classic favorites such as Hazelnut Crème Brule, White Chocolate Raspberry Mousse, and traditional home baked apple pie, which is served with a mouth-watering, house-churned vanilla bean ice cream, all $8. Not much of a sweet tooth? Port, ice wine and cognac are also available.

Ciao-Thyme is open daily from 8am-10pm, and is located at #2-4573 Chateau blvd, across from the Fairmont.
