Snowshoeing
There is no better way to see some of Whistlers amazing terrain and scenery than putting on a pair of snowshoes and just getting out there and exploring. Snowshoeing has been around for thousands of years and is now considered one of the fastest growing winter sports. “If you can walk, you can snowshoe”.
Every one of all different fitness levels and ages can experience this wonderful sport and escape into the serene beauty of a natural winter playground. Waking on snowshoes is so silent that you can observe the wildlife without startling it, look for wildlife tracks from lynx to pine martens, spot nuthatches or whiskeyjacks.
Canadian Snowmobile offers tours that escape into the high vibration medicine trail. The Medicine Trail goes deep into a very special ancient forest in the Callaghan Valley. Venture through a porthole to a place that stands still in time. This tour will introduce you to some Eastern and Western philosophies of tree medicine that our great ancestors lived by. A brief history of the area’s traditional uses will also take you to ways of the past and get your roots tingling. Tea from the forest will be served on trail. Back at the Caboose, enjoy a light snack and rejuvenate by the fire.
