Based in Whistler since 1991 they offer a full range of adventure options from guided walks to ice climbing and avalanche awareness courses.  Whistler Alpine Guides has a long standing tradition of being the only full service guiding company and mountain instructional school in the Whistler Area.

Glacier Walks and Wilderness hikes

Suitable for all ages and abilities take a walk on the glacier snow and ice up on Whistler Mountain, learn about the formation of the Coast Mountains and become familiar with equipment such as ice axes and crampons. Or Experience the wildflowers and spectacular wilderness that the Whistler area has to offer with one of the wilderness or backcountry hikes.  Whistler Alpine guides have various hikes available that can cater for all different abilities and range from 2 hours to 8 hours and visit all different areas.

Via Ferrata

Experience Whistlers most exciting adventure, this climbing excursion visits the summit of Whistler peak, with sensational views and an exhilarating experience this is one adventure not to be missed. “Via Ferrata” is Italian for “Iron way” follow this vertical pathway with fixed cables for protection and metal rungs climb your way to the top.

Rock Climbing/Rappelling

If you have ever had any interest in rock climbing and rappelling Whistler Alpine Guides can help you experience it. With a variety of climbing and rappelling tour options their experienced guides will take you on a fun full filled morning or afternoon of rock adventure. No previous experience or equipment is required they will provide everything.

Backcountry Touring

Had enough of lift lines? Whistler Alpine Guides can take you outside the Whistler Blackcomb ski area and experience the real Coast Mountains, offering backcountry tours ranging from one day to overnight backcountry adventures. Get out for the day and “earn your turns” or cross 13 glaciers with the Spearhead Travers, a multi day backcountry experience.

Whistler Alpine Guides also offer clinics and courses for experienced skiers and snowboarders to really experience the back country and learn about backcountry travel and safety with certified ACMG instructors.

Ski Mountaineering and Ice climbing

With clinics and courses suitable for just about anyone Whistler Alpine Guides offer many options ranging from a introduction to ski mountaineering and ice climbing or full multi day instructional courses designed to really give you a foundation of ice climbing and ski mountaineering skills.  Options are available for the beginner right to an advanced level.

Avalanche Safety Courses

Avalanche safety courses are a must for anybody venturing out of the ski area boundaries; Whistler Alpine Guides offer the Avalanche Skills Training Level 1, Youth and Level 2 courses.
