I travel to Whistler quite regularly and I must say that I was very pleased with the exceedingly high quality of service that was shown by your staff. The place was well stocked and nicely decorated, thank you for making my family feel very festive while being away from home over the holidays!

Skiing/Snowboarding by Cat
The Cat Skiing at Powder Mountain features a full day of backcountry cat skiing/snowboarding in a 4,300 acre ski area. The average day covers anywhere from 7,000 to 10,000 vertical feet with approximately 6-10 runs depending on weather and the group’s abilities. The record set is 15 runs. There is no extra charge for additional runs.
Space is limited to twelve people per snowcat to ski and ride the Powder Mountain backcountry terrain. Book as far in advance as possible in order to guarantee your spot, especially if you're bringing a group. Don't worry though, if you just found out about Cat Skiing, we can usually arrange to squeeze you in for the best powder day of your life, with as little as one or two days notice.
Transportation
Transportation is in 4X4 vans that run from the Whistler Village meeting location (Gone Bakery) to Powder Mountain Catskiing Base Lodge, and then back to Whistler Village at the end of the day. It's an approximately 20 minute drive south from Whistler Village.
Lunch & Snacks
A gourmet deli-style high mountain lunch will take place in between the runs. Snacks and beverages are also provided on board of the cat in order to keep your energy up.

Guiding & Instructions
Two certified guides are accompanying a group of 12 people. The "Lead Guide" will always be in front of you, choosing the safest route and the best snow for each run down the mountain. The "Tail Guide" will always be at the very end of the group. Having two guides ensures that everyone has the same experience and the safest skiing and riding possible. If you or some of your friends are learning to ride or ski powder, the guides are also certified instructors who can give pointers in order to make everyone's day more fun. Cat Skiing is the ideal place to learn to ski powder, learn to ski trees and work on your technique in general.
Safety Equipment & Orientation
At times the backcountry can be a wild and unpredictable place, therefore your Cat Skiing package will include the use of transceivers and a mountain safety orientation session for your backcountry awareness.
Pricing
A day of Cat Skiing is $499 CDN + 12% HST per person per day (no half days). Daily operation starting December 1st until April 4th.
